The Mechanical Parts Service Purchasing Intern will gain real-world experience learning source process, experiencing industrial and business daily operations, understanding negotiations with suppliers, benchmarking, and data analysis.

• Work on product sourcing and RFQ processing to learn the sourcing process.
• Work with other buyers on negotiations as needed.
• Work on data gathering and cost analysis for benchmarking and cost savings negotiations.

Required qualifications:

• Intermediate excel skills (vlookup, pivot table).
• An ability to read engineering prints.
• A basic understanding of business and supply chain.
• Must be pursing a B.A. or B.S. in Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, Engineering, or related degree.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in data extraction and analysis.
