On July 1, 2012, Security Insurance was acquired by Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA). Hopefully you are aware of this fact, and if you have seen any changes at all, they have been positive for you. While the process was lengthy, the decision to join MMA was easy. We had done our research and felt confident that joining this growing organization was the best option for our clients and associates. Now, 18 months later, I am more confident than ever our decision was wise. We have continued to grow our business at an above average rate and we are optimistic we will achieve similar results in 2014 and beyond.

MMA now has over 2000 employees throughout the US and has plans for continued growth in the future via organic growth and acquisitions of other high performing agencies. Our colleagues throughout MMA are bringing us innovative resources and expertise that we can share with our clients to help manage their risk. We also have access to additional products and services through our colleagues at Marsh and Mercer. Our team members now have more stability and advancement opportunities than ever. They are collaborating daily with other colleagues to help solve our client’s problems and establish new best practices for our operations.

As part of our transition process, we are taking steps to adopt the Marsh & McLennan name and logo over the next several months, with the expectation that in July 2014 the Security name and logo will no longer be used. While there is an element of sadness changing from our proud history as Security Insurance, our excitement for the future greatly exceeds these feelings of nostalgia. The colors of our logo and website are important, but they are only a small part of the equation to our success. What has defined our company over the past 30 years has been our dedicated employees, our long standing client relationships, and the excellent services and resources that we provide our clients.  This will not change.  We look forward to continuing our relationships with our valued clients, and remain dedicated to our mutual success.
