Job requirements:
- Help machine operators with setups, assist taking blades out/in.
- Change out rollers, chutes, or conveyors as needed for specific jobs.
- Drive forklift moving jobs to and from the grinding machines.
- In free time, take initiative to perform general cleanup. Take out garbage, clean machine, mop around machines, run the floor scrubber. Keep rust inhibitor sprayers filled.
- Maintains safe operations and clean work environment.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Skills and Experience:
- 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing/production environment
- Ability to read & understand blueprints and technical documents a plus
- Mechanically inclined - Interest and aptitude working with and troubleshooting engines or machines and understanding how they operate
- Ability to learn new techniques and be cross-trained in other roles
- High school diploma or GED
- Fork-lift certification a plus
