Job Description

Summary

As a Product Test Engineer (PTE), you will work on the verification and validation, software and system quality assurance of some of the most advanced medical devices in the market today. You will also develop test cases and procedures; execute test protocols; write and improve Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions; perform V&V work using state of the art testing and test automation tools. Our work makes a daily impact on the lives of many patients around the world. Our team makes sure that our products are well made and of high quality. We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our Product Test Engineering (PTE) team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in system PTE activities for the verification & validation of software and systems in an advanced medical device equipment environment

  • Engage in system PTE activities for the verification & validation of software and systems

  • Develop test cases and procedures, execute test protocols and participate in the creation of test reports

  • Write and improve Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions

  • Perform V&V work using state of the art testing and test automation tool

  • Review and analyze system and user level requirements

  • Review and analyze system implementation details

  • Write and/or update manual or automatic test protocols

  • Perform software installation/upgrades

  • Execute test protocols manually or automatically, identifying and logging anomalies

  • Participate in review and disposition of anomalies and conduct verification of corrected anomalies

  • Depending on the specialized area and experience level, may perform additional responsibilities such as:

    • setting up/managing test labs/environments, including hardware and network setup and configurations

    • training as a Radiation Safety Worker

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred), or an equivalent mixture of education, training, and experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of PTE work experience

  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred or Desired

  • Specific, relevant experience in an FDA guided, medical device environment

  • Experience working in a clinical environment

  • Experience working with test management tools

  • Experience setting up computer system hardware, networks, and software installation

  • Experience with DICOM standards

Accuray pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Accuray Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
