About The Opportunity

Machine operator is responsible for machine setup, reading layouts and specs, productivity, efficiencies, paperwork, inspecting and maintaining the machine they are operating. The person in this position must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Essential Functions

1. Demonstrate commitment to safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures

2.Follow Standard Quality Processes

3.Understand job jacket/shop card information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements

4.Determine the best manufacturing method to produce product efficiently and effectively

5.Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment

6.Troubleshoot and make decisions regarding the quality of finished product

7. Complete required quality inspections and paperwork

8.Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance

9.Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned equipment and surrounding area

10.Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements

11. Perform data entry within the BVP system: consume and print tags, put orders into the system

12.Maintain a clean work area

13.Cross train on other light industrial machines

14.Enforce all safety and GMP policies

15.Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1.Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner

2. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business

3.Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed

4.Ability to effectively work in teams

5.Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people

6.Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles

7.Ability to read a tape measure/ruler

8.Ability to read and count

9.Ability to read layouts

10.Good mathematical skills

11. Good organizational skills

12.Mechanical aptitude

13.Trouble shooting skills

14.Good judgment of color, design, and printing quality

15. Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job

WORK HOURS: Mon-Thurs 8 PM-6AM (4 - 10-hour shifts)

WAGE RATE: $24.34/HR with $0.75 Shift Differential
