JOB DESCRIPTION
Working out of state for extended periods of time assembling large/heavy metal structures and their components on an active construction site. Working with hand and power tools while following OSHA standards, reading prints, and communicating with other trades will be necessary. Operating scissor lift, boom lift, and telehandlers may be part of the daily tasks as well.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Setting structure components such as tanks, generators, enclosures, plenums and exhaust mufflers in a safe manner.
Ensures that sub-assembled and assembled items meet specific quality specifications and accurate conformance with dimension specifications and print drawings
Demonstrate teamwork by working well with others, helping as needed, and responding positively to constructive feedback
Completing daily tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Follow safe manufacturing and site specific practices
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours per day.
Must be able to work in outside weather elements
Must be able to ascend/descend ladders frequently
Must be able to operate general hand and power tools
Must be able to work following proper OSHA standards
Must be able to work in a team environment with many different trades
PREFERRED SKILLS
Ideal candidate will have some experience with construction/framing or steel erecting. Knowledge/experience with blue prints is a plus. Excellent work attendance and attitude. Problem solving while maintaining a safe work area is a must
