The Life Sciences Sales Leader, America will be asked to develop, organize and manage the sales of laboratory, pilot and industrial scale fermenters and bioreactors in America and Canada in order to reach the target sales & profit targets for the territory. This position must be comfortable analyzing and utilizing market data, creating and implementing strategies to help expand the business, and building relationships with customers within the region. While serving as a leader for this team, this individual must also be a team player and collaborate at a global level.Based on the nature of this role, this individual must have prior Life Sciences experience, ideally with bioreactors or fermentation.

This is a remote position and must be located in the United States.

Role Responsibilities:

The key areas for this position will focus on:

Sales Strategy, Execution & fulfilling Sales targets

Develop, organize, and manage the sales of laboratory, pilot and industrial scale fermenters and bioreactors in America and Canada through designing and implementing strategies, analyze and articulate customer and market needs and trends, promote Solaris brand with the aim to create new leads and opportunities leading to Sales agreements critical to meet Sales targets.

Team Leadership

Build, coordinate, train and manage high-performing sales team within the Region by providing leadership, motivation, and guidance to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales targets.

Customer Relationship Management

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors and partners to ensure swift reaction to customer inquiries, requests and complains. Ensure proper collaboration with Internal Sales team & Engineering team with a Team spirit approach.

Performance Monitoring & reporting

Monitor and evaluate the performance of sales representatives and own sales results, providing constructive feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed. Keep track of incoming orders, sales & profit results. Make use of the Solaris CRM system for all leads and opportunities. Keep track of and report on competitive activity in the market.

TRAVEL: Up to 40%

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher degree

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience

  • 2+ years of experience in bioprocessing or bioreactors

  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with bioreactors or fermentation

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in biotechnology, biochemical, or Engineering

  • Experience working with global team

  • Experience managing a remote team of employees
