Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. College coursework desired. 1 year experience in stockroom/warehousing, material handling, shipping/receiving or transportation; or completion of Technical Certificate in Warehouse Distribution; and/or completion in current year youth apprenticeship program.

Position Purpose:

Under immediate supervision, use established procedures to move parts/material, unload freight, and process pick/delivery tickets. Adhere to all corporate safety and quality standards.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Process pick/delivery tickets by pulling and issuing parts to support Service Center, Spare Parts Sales, Back Shops, ASC and Distribution Allocation.
  2. Pick up and move parts/material to Shipping, Manufacturing, Back Shops and other departments. Warehouse parts in compliance with the Material Handling Standards.
  3. Unload freight from delivery carriers. Operate material handling equipment and company vehicles as required. Verify paperwork against material received and separate material for delivery to designated users.
  4. Assist senior personnel with the inspection, tagging, and identification of all incoming materials, equipment and other products stored in Material Services stockrooms.
  5. Demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices.
  6. Package material for shipping in compliance with FAA standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Ability to obtain certification to operate material handling equipment and to meet all training requirements.
  2. Experience with computerized inventory and familiarly with material handling, inventory or production control processes preferred.
  3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.
  5. May require a DOT physical for Highway driving if applicable.
  6. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  7. Ability to operate fork truck and other material handling equipment.
  8. Ability to operate standard office equipment, personal computer, telephone, pager, fax & copier.
  9. Must be able to work all shifts and weekends.
  10. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
